Struck by Lightning

At the National Weather Association 2005 annual meeting, held in St Louis, a guy who had been struck by lightning had a booth promoting his own lightning awareness program, which uses the clever slogan shown on the magnet (a giveaway from the booth). The slogan and a similar campaign have since been adopted by the National Weather Service, using a cartoon mascot, Leon the Lion.

If you hear thunder and are outside, you are close enough to an electrical storm to be struck by lightning. So the slogan is good advice.
